Instructions for balancing rod and reel

1. Weigh the rod, then enter the weight into the blue box in grammes.

2. Mark point that you wish the balance point to be with a piece of tape. Point A.

3. Measure from the centre of the Reel Seat to point A in inches, and enter the value into box A

4. Put the rod together without the reel, find and mark the balance point with tape. Point B.

5. Measure from point A to point B in inches. Then enter this value into box B.

6. The optimum weight of the reel combined with backing and running line (minus the head), is displayed in the yellow box in grammes.
